Sources of native American orchids from commercial propagators:

The authoritative list from Doug Martin (with intro) (Word .doc file)

Note: there may be some duplicates with the list from Martin, but his research is more recent than my own.

Large selection of micropropagated and rescued hardy orchids

These sources sell seedlings and plants of native cypripediums, and sometimes other species of orchids. I have corresponded with most of these sources, and read of the propagation techniques used by the remainder. All appear to legitimately propagate orchids from seed, cultivating them as non-wild material. We ask that companies sell only propagated plants, and not wild-collected specimens, in order to be listed.

There is additional information on cultivating Cypripedium species from seed.
